Before the weeklong break in June, the Ivey MBA program wraps up the first four months of Core with a three-day intra-school case competition, sponsored by a major consulting firm, that aims to test all the business essentials skills learnt to date through real business cases. All Ivey MBA students register teams of four to seven people each and meet on the morning of Day 1 to crash and burn through the first practice case with only three hours to prepare and present their recommendation to a panel of judges consisting of Ivey faculty and industry representatives. Another practice round later, the elimination ensues on Day 2. The grand finale is held in the BMO Auditorium where all students come together to watch the top three teams present their insights and recommendations.
